Wikileaks: Accident, Plan, or Ineptitude?

We now have Wiki Leaks telling us they are going to release private State Department communications. The website is already filled with 350mb of supposed sensitive military material. This tells me we have a serious problem within our government.

We have the TSA controversy with body scanners filling the news. Our government assures us that these images cannot be saved or transmitted. We are already seeing images appear on Gizmodo. Time and time again the government reassures us that something is safe, only later to find that we had been swept up into a false sense of security. The only way we can assure privacy is to take it into our own hands. This applies as well to our medical records. Once we let the federal government place them in some central database, we no longer have control.

The Perfect Candidate

Obama was the perfect Manchurian candidate. He was black, so anyone that offered opposition was immediately labeled racist. Obama was charismatic and was not the traditional black community organizer. There was an American electorate that was unhappy with two wars and a declining economy, which made the call for change a nice prospect. People were ready for someone to fundamentally change America. There was a complicit media that did nothing but cheer lead the first African-American candidate that could possibly win. Those of us that bothered to look into what lay past the facade were called racist.

What we saw, and now most Americans are seeing, is a man filled with hate for all things that make us Americans. He is an anti-colonialist, a term few of us were familiar with at the time of the election. They didn’t know that change was socialism and globalism. People were blinded by words and failed to see that Obama wanted to mold his presidency in the form of the man who was the most revered, albeit mistakenly, by American history, Franklin D. Roosevelt. There was only one way to be FDR and that was to create another Great Depression. I’m not sure if the timing of the sub-prime collapse was when he and the Democratic Party planned, but the timing was perfect. That catapulted him into the White House. We know now the collapse of the sub-prime market was foreseen, and possibly planned.

Political and News Dog and Pony Show

Two weeks ago people went to the ballot box to show Washington that the country is extremely dissatisfied with the job they are doing. Since then the lame duck congress has reconvened and it’s clear that the Democrats and some others haven’t learned anything from the trashing.

I just watched a debate on Fox News between Democrat and Republican representatives. They bantered back and forth on extending the jobless (unemployment) benefits. The Republicans are clear on the fact that they will not sign on to any bill unless money is found to pay for it now. Some Republicans want to use stimulus money, while the Democrats just want to spend from the budget, which at this point is all borrowed money.

Rush To Ban Energy Drinks, Why?

The FDA is in a panic mode to ban energy drinks laced with alcohol after 5 teens die from drinking.  After some research I found a variety of numbers for annual deaths from these energy drinks. The highest I found were 20,000 annual deaths, so I will operate from that prospective. I figure the real number is far less. I decided to list deaths from other causes.

Government Protection or Loss of Liberty?

Our government has decided that they need to see our nude bodies or demand intrusive body searches. They do this all in the name of safety as we fly. There is all this extreme caution at airports, yet not one terrorist has ever been caught by a TSA agent.

The 9/11 hijackers and the so-called Christmas day bomber were not found by TSA agents despite the fact the government had been alerted to the danger prior to the attacks. We know that the average terrorists are Muslim with dark complexions, and are between the ages of 17 and 34. If we know this, why do we have government personnel searching white elderly people and children? They do it in the name of being politically correct. They will pass up the opportunity to search someone fitting the profile of a terrorist and intimately search a child. They are also doing this in their war on drugs that has failed miserably.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

I was just writing the article  “Government Protection or Loss of rights?” and had the same nagging thoughts of why are they doing such stringent searches at only airports, and why aren’t terrorist attacking more? It would be too easy for terrorist to build bombs or to buy automatic weapons in which to open fire on innocent people at the malls. I then had an epiphany. I know that government and progressives always use misdirection. They are making me watch searches in airports when the ball is in the other hand.

In Europe many of the terrorist attacks have been to trains, yet in Europe they aren’t forcing such stringent security on trains. We have had attacks on trains in the USA, again very lax security even at the Metro in the nation’s capital. I had to ask, what am I missing?

We have the leftist environmentalist, which these days are all progressives because they can use global warming to further the progressive agenda. The debate whether global warming is real or not is unimportant, since the progressives will use the fear to their advantage.
